Du'a for every moment

Tap a moment of your child's day — waking up, mealtimes, the car, bedtime — to hear its du'a, slowly if you like, and sing it. Mark what your child is practising, pick a du'a of the week, and print a card sheet with their name.

Du'a when waking up

“All praise is for Allah, who gave us life after He had made us die (in sleep), and to Him is the rising up.”

For little ones

“Thank You, Allah, for waking me up to a brand-new day!”

When: As soon as we wake up, before we hop out of bed.

Try it today: 3 quick steps
  1. Say it softly as you open the curtains, so it becomes the sound of morning.
  2. Start with the first word, “Alhamdulillah”, and add a little more each week.
  3. Ask: “What are you thankful for today?” and let them answer in their own words.

How is your child doing?

Du'as parents make for their children

These are for grown-ups to say for their children — du'as from the Qur'an that many parents make every day.

For a family that brings joy · Qur'an 25:74

Rabbana hab lana min azwajina wa dhurriyyatina qurrata a'yunin waj-'alna lil-muttaqina imama

“Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and our children the coolness of our eyes, and make us leaders for those who are mindful of You.”

For children who love salah · Qur'an 14:40

رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي، رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ

Rabbij-'alni muqimas-salati wa min dhurriyyati, Rabbana wa taqabbal du'a'

“My Lord, make me one who keeps up the prayer, and from my children too. Our Lord, accept my du'a.”

Questions parents ask

Do I need an account?

No. Progress is saved on this device straight away. If you sign in and choose a child, it's saved to their profile and follows them to your other devices.

Is my child's name sent anywhere?

No. The name you type for the cards stays in this browser and is only used to print. If you're signed in, the cards use your child's profile nickname.

How should we use “du'a of the week”?

Pick one du'a, say it together at its real moment every day, and mark it “knows it!” when it feels easy. Then choose the next one. Repeating one is fine too.
