Du'as for children are short words we say to Allah at everyday moments — before eating, leaving home, sleeping and more. Each one below has the Arabic, a simple meaning, audio to listen, tips to teach it and, where we have one, a song.

Questions parents ask

Which du'a should my child learn first?

Most families start with “Bismillah” before eating and “Alhamdulillah” after. They're short, they happen every day, and children hear them at every meal.

How many du'as can a 3-year-old learn?

One at a time is plenty. Pick a “du'a of the week”, say it at the real moment every day, and move on when it feels easy. Some weeks you'll stay on the same one — that's fine.

Should my child learn the Arabic or the meaning first?

Both together. Say the Arabic at the moment, then the simple meaning in your home language — so the words feel like talking to Allah, not just sounds.

Who checks these du'as?

The Arabic is copied letter for letter, with its vowel marks, from trusted sources (Qur'an: tanzil.net / quran.com; hadith: sunnah.com and Hisn al-Muslim). Each du'a page lists its sources and says where narrations differ. A teacher review is under way.
