- 4 identical cards (90 × 105 mm) with cut lines
- The du'a in fully vowelled Arabic, on its own line
- Transliteration and meaning under the Arabic
The du'a on the card
ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ، وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ، وَثَبَتَ الْأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ
Dhahabaz-zama'u, wabtallatil-'uruqu, wa thabatal-ajru in sha' Allah
“The thirst has gone, the veins are moist, and the reward is certain, if Allah wills.”
For when to say it, a meaning for little ones and teaching tips, see the du'a for breaking the fast (iftar) page.
For grown-ups
- Keep one card on the table and one in the lunch box.
- Say it together at the real moment — that's how children learn du'as fastest.
- Laminate the cards, or punch a hole and keep them on a ring.
- The cards contain the name of Allah — please keep them respectfully and recycle them carefully.
- Print at 100% ("actual size"). Ink-saver line art is the default, so colouring in is part of the fun.
