Where the words come from

Sources

Qur'an verses are copied letter for letter from tanzil.net or quran.com, and du'as and hadith from sunnah.com. The reference is printed on the poster, with a transliteration and a simple meaning. Where schools of thought differ on small details, follow your teacher.

How to use it

For grown-ups

  • Print it at 18×24 in if you can: on Letter and A4 paper the meanings come out very small.
  • Learn one name a week. Say it together at breakfast, use it in a du'a, then let your child colour its star.
  • Link names to everyday moments: Ar-Razzaq, the Provider, at mealtimes, and As-Sami', the All-Hearing, when you make du'a.
  • Lists of the names differ a little. This chart counts Allah as name 1, so some numbers may not match your child's school list.
  • Print at 100% ("actual size") on thick paper, or laminate it for a busy wall. For a big classroom or masjid poster, use the 18 × 24 in PDF at a print shop.
