What's on the poster

  • All 7 verses of Al-Fatiha in Uthmani Arabic, with the Bismillah as verse 1 (Qur'an 1:1–7)
  • Easy transliteration and a meaning for each verse (Saheeh International, lightly simplified for children)
  • A memory picture and a star to colour for each verse
  • Saying Ameen after Al-Fatiha, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) taught us (Al-Bukhari 782)
  • Listen, repeat and colour steps, and a QR code to watch and recite with Ariana
Where the words come from

Sources

Qur'an verses are copied letter for letter from tanzil.net or quran.com, and du'as and hadith from sunnah.com. The reference is printed on the poster, with a transliteration and a simple meaning. Where schools of thought differ on small details, follow your teacher.

How to use it

For grown-ups

  • Learn one verse a day: listen, repeat it a few times, then colour its star.
  • Hang it near your prayer mat or prayer corner, since we say Al-Fatiha in every prayer.
  • Use the picture beside each verse as a memory cue: cover the words and try from the picture alone.
  • Explain that Ameen comes after the surah but is not part of it.
  • Print at 100% ("actual size") on thick paper, or laminate it for a busy wall. For a big classroom or masjid poster, use the 18 × 24 in PDF at a print shop.
