Where the words come from

Sources

Qur'an verses are copied letter for letter from tanzil.net or quran.com, and du'as and hadith from sunnah.com. The reference is printed on the poster, with a transliteration and a simple meaning. Where schools of thought differ on small details, follow your teacher.

How to use it

For grown-ups

  • Read the first du'a together at the door before going in, until your child can say it without looking.
  • Practise the footsteps as a game at any doorway: call out "Left foot in!" and "Right foot out!" and see who gets it right.
  • Count to 20 out loud together while they scrub with soap.
  • Praise them every time they leave the bathroom clean and dry for the next person.
  • Print at 100% ("actual size") on thick paper, or laminate it for a busy wall. For a big classroom or masjid poster, use the 18 × 24 in PDF at a print shop.
