How to use it

For grown-ups

  • Hang it next to a mirror in her bedroom or by the coat hooks, so she can follow the steps while she gets ready.
  • Practise together on a quiet weekend morning with a soft, light scarf before trying it on a busy school or masjid day.
  • Keep pins with the grown-ups; little ones can wear a slip-on hijab and move on to wrapping when they are ready.
  • This is one simple style, and there are many lovely ways to wear hijab, so let her choose the colours and styles she loves.
  • Print at 100% ("actual size") on thick paper, or laminate it for a busy wall. For a big classroom or masjid poster, use the 18 × 24 in PDF at a print shop.
