Where the words come from

Sources

Qur'an verses are copied letter for letter from tanzil.net or quran.com, and du'as and hadith from sunnah.com. The reference is printed on the poster, with a transliteration and a simple meaning. Where schools of thought differ on small details, follow your teacher.

How to use it

For grown-ups

  • Hang it beside a five pillars poster and talk about the difference: the six are what we believe in our hearts, the five are how we live it.
  • Use the counting banner: hold up five fingers on one hand and one on the other as you name all six.
  • Take one card a week and talk about it at bedtime, using its simple line to start.
  • Ask children to find the bold kid word on each card, like Kutub, and say it with you.
  • Print at 100% ("actual size") on thick paper, or laminate it for a busy wall. For a big classroom or masjid poster, use the 18 × 24 in PDF at a print shop.
