The five daily prayers for kids
Muslims pray five times a day: Fajr at dawn, Dhuhr just after midday, Asr in the afternoon, Maghrib just after sunset and Isha at night. Each prayer has its own time, set by the sun, and its own number of rak'ahs (units).

Match each prayer to its sky
In Prayer Sky, children match Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha to the colour of the sky.
A hand to count on
Hold up one hand and touch a finger for each prayer: Fajr (thumb, the early riser), Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha (little finger, sleepy at night). Five prayers, five fingers!
Then look out of the window: what colour is the sky? Which prayer is coming next?
Jumu'ah
On Friday, the Jumu'ah prayer at the masjid takes the place of Dhuhr for those who attend. It has a short talk, the khutbah, before the prayer.
