Where the words come from

Sources

Qur'an verses are copied letter for letter from tanzil.net or quran.com, and du'as and hadith from sunnah.com. The reference is printed on the poster, with a transliteration and a simple meaning. Where schools of thought differ on small details, follow your teacher.

How to use it

For grown-ups

  • Hang it next to your Qur'an shelf or in the masjid class corner so children see it before they start.
  • Walk through the seven steps together before each Qur'an lesson until they become a habit.
  • Give your child a small book stand (rihal) so “hold gently” is easy to do.
  • When someone recites, point to card 6 and practise listening quietly together.
  • Print at 100% ("actual size") on thick paper, or laminate it for a busy wall. For a big classroom or masjid poster, use the 18 × 24 in PDF at a print shop.
