What's on each page

  • A big model ط with a green start dot and arrows showing which way to write

Tips for the letter

Saying and writing Taa

How to say it

Say t, but lift the back of your tongue too and keep your mouth round, so it sounds deep and strong. ت (Ta) is the light one.

Don't mix it up

ظ is ط with one dot on top.

Hear Taa and its picture words on the letter Taa page.

How to use it

For grown-ups

  • Every row starts on the right. A small sticker on the right-hand margin is a great reminder.
  • Say the sound each time: “Taa… a heavy t”.
  • Trace the model letter with a finger first, following the arrows, then use a pencil.
  • Use a thick crayon or triangular pencil for little hands — and stop while it's still fun.
  • Print at 100% ("actual size"). Ink-saver line art is the default, so colouring in is part of the fun.
