Today's mini-lesson

Sadaqah means giving to help others, because we love Allah and care about people.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the most generous of people, and he was even more generous in Ramadan.

Sadaqah can be a coin, some food, a toy — or even a smile.

Little · 3–55 minutes

Coin drop

Make a sadaqah box from a tissue box or a jar. Each day your child drops in a coin (or a drawing of a gift) and says “for someone who needs it”.

Big · 6–85 minutes

Where should it go?

Talk together about where your family's sadaqah could go: a food bank, your masjid's appeal, a neighbour who needs help. Let your child help decide, and count the coins together at the end of the week.
