Today's mini-lesson

Getting iftar ready is a family job, and everyone can help.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to help his family at home, so helping is a good deed.

When someone helps us, we thank them with “JazakAllahu khayran” — may Allah reward you with good.

Little · 3–55 minutes

One real job

Give your little one one real job: a napkin at every place, a spoon by every bowl, or carrying the (unbreakable) bowl of dates to the table.

Big · 6–85 minutes

Iftar helper rota

Make a simple chart of iftar jobs — set the table, pour the water, pass the dates, clear the plates. Children choose a job each evening and swap with brothers and sisters.

Word of the day

JazakAllahu khayran

جَزَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا
