Ramadan for kids: activities, calendar & printables
Ramadan is the special month when Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, pray more and read the Qur'an. It's a time to say thank you to Allah, to be extra kind and to share with people who need help. Little ones don't fast — they join in with the moon, lanterns, dates at iftar, good deeds and the big Eid party at the end!
Teacher review under way.
Dates are worked out on your device from the Umm al-Qura calendar. The real start depends on the moon sighting in your community, so it may be a day earlier or later — follow your local masjid's announcement.
The 30-day kids' Ramadan programme
Each day has its own theme, a three-sentence mini-lesson, a 5-minute activity for little ones (3–5) and big kids (6–8), a word with audio and a card to print. Skip days, swap days, do them twice — whatever fits your family.
